The problem remains for the industry that a large amount of large-scale architecture is still done in vendor presentations, glossy brochure marketing and sales meetings.

Anyone thinking about SOA really needs their solution architects to read and absorb Gregor Hohpe and Bobby Woolf’s book Enterprise Integration Patterns before they consider enterprise middleware purchases.
